Lovely bed frame. I really like the gray color and it will match nicely with nearly every bedding color scheme. As the other reviews mention, there exists a fairly large gap between your box planting season/mattress and the bedframe itself. It seems that is unavoidable with this sort of frame/headboard--I researched really extensively before choosing this one and they all seem to mention a gap. Once my bedding is normally on, I'm not worried as it will go over the gap and will look fine. The quality seems great. One unfavorable is that they directed us one screw without the top on it--so my hubby had to run out to OSH to discover another one, and luckily he was able to do consequently. All and all, this bed frame was a great purchase and specifically for the price! I got it on my want list for some months before I purchased it and the price generally ranged within a 20 dollar variation. Shockingly, 1 day the price had dropped significantly! Obviously, I purchased it immediately! :)
I LOVE this headboard! It had been so easy to assemble, and seriously customizable. There are not pre-drilled holes in the headboard for the hip and legs, so you will be able to place them as excessive or low as is appropriate for your elevation of mattress. It looks similar to the pictures and is a great addition to any room. I've a king bed, so it was a little wobbly - I place styrofoam backing between the wall and the headboard and it's strong and doesn't bang the wall at all and is ideal.

I have some heirloom pieces of furniture passed down from my great grandmother (a secretary and armoire) that I was told absolutely NOT to use Pledge or other types of commercial products on because they produce wax build-up. Transitional can mean many things but in general, it means that the colors, wood tones and finishes in a space would be versatile enough to work with any colors.
